Product Usage:
Bimetal hole saws are designed to cut everything from wood and plastics to ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including stainless steel.
Tips:
- A hole saw is designed to attach to a power drill and rotate at a high speed. As the saw spins, the teeth cut into the chosen material, removing a circular piece (slug) as it saws through.
- When a hole saw exits the cut, it tends to blow out the back of the workpiece, leaving behind a ragged, splintered surface. Here are two ways to avoid blow out: Clamp a scrap board to the back of the workpiece and drill into that; drill halfway through from one side and then finish the hole by drilling through from the opposite side.
